Aquatic centres face some of the highest energy demands of any council facility. Pool water has to stay warm every day of the year, on top of hot showers, heated air and the constant electrical load of pumps and filtration. With operating costs rising and pressure growing to cut emissions, councils and operators need a better way to carry that load.

Cogeneration suits it perfectly. A natural gas engine generates electricity onsite, and the heat it produces along the way is captured to warm the pools and supply hot water, so energy that would normally be wasted does the facility's biggest job instead. Depending on the site, cogeneration works alone or alongside trigeneration and commercial heat pumps.

These systems are built for demanding, high-use environments and deliver stable performance year-round. The result is lower running costs, lower emissions and less dependence on the grid.
