Food and beverage sites run on three things at once: electricity for the line, heat for cooking, pasteurising and wash-down, and cooling for cold storage and product safety. Most plants buy all three separately, paying for grid power, gas and refrigeration on top of each other.
A cogeneration (CHP) system changes that. One gas engine generates electricity on site and captures the heat it would normally waste. That recovered heat runs your hot water, pasteurisation and other thermal loads. Add an absorption chiller and the same heat drives refrigeration and climate control. One fuel source, three outputs.
If your site produces organic waste, wastewater or processing by-product, that material can be converted into biogas and used to fuel the engine. You cut disposal costs and generate your own power from a problem you already have.
The outcome is lower energy bills, less exposure to grid price rises, and a clear path to lower emissions.
